Quincy started pre-first grade today. That's right... She's done with kindergarten, but not ready for 1st grade. I think that it's great - she gets to stay little a while longer. Besides, she gets to ride the 'little' bus to school...

We set the cake in front of him and he knew just what to do. He leaned into it with his mouth and then started grabbing chunks of it with his hands. He was into the cake up to his elbows and had frosting from ear to ear. Total classic.

Birthday boy!

One year ago today, Mack was born in the front seat of Drew's car. It is hard to remember life before Mack and at the same time it seems like yesterday he was born. He is such a fun kid. Lately, he is into screaming to communicate just about everything. We will have cake for him sometime when Drew is home. (Tomorrow maybe?) More pics to follow...

A new word

Did you know that the word 'alterior,' as in alterior motive, does not exist? I learned yesterday that it is 'ulterior motive.' At first I thought that the source was wrong (silly source!), but then I learned that I have been wrong for 35 years!

Today is Mack's birthday (Yeah! He survived a year!), so I set up my pretend studio in the kitchen to take his picture. I still haven't gotten a good one of him, but I got really cute ones of the girls. He is currently crying himself to sleep, so it may not happen...

Snow day

Quincy had today off of school because of snow/ice/rain. Maggie, Quincy and I decided to go to the mall this morning and we had our pictures taken in the little booth for$3. It was fun.

"My sister cut my hair..."

Yes, Quincy cut Maggie's hair yesterday while I was at a baby shower. When I came home, Quincy was very worried that I would be mad at her. I couldn't help but laugh - out loud... I hope that didn't send the wrong message... If you look closely, you can see that Quincy made quite a close cut in places...
